Make it part of your holiday!

As you are in America why not make this part of a holiday, or an excuse to have a Western USA adventure!  Las Vegas is close to the Grand Canyon, the Hoover Dam, Los Angeles, Arches National Park, Yosemite National Park, Monument Valley, Lake Havasu and so many other places that are facinating and beautiful.  A trip you will never forget - and you get to improve your brass banding!

I'm interested... How much?

As the late magician Paul Daniels would say: NOT A LOT!

The standard price is great value at £599 BUT As we are going a little crazy during the current lockdown, we are going to offer it for early bookings at only £459!

You can even pay monthly - just select the DEPOSIT option (£10) and pay as little as £41 a month (no credit checks, no interest, no fees, no charges and available to everyone). Some foreign currencies are also accepted to save you fees if you are not UK resident.

  2. Several sectional workshops and masterclasses with our famous name tutors
  3. Entry to Owen Farrs (not a) surprise birthday bash with live Bavarian Band and your bar bill covered for the first THREE hours.

I am not from the UK, can I pay in my currency?

Probably!  We can bill you in US$, Euros, NZ$, AUD$ and PLN The same payment plan is available for you too.

Can you organise a hotel for us?

Yes, we can provide you with a hotel room for the 5 nights (Sunday to Friday) at a Las Vegas Strip hotel for approximately £250 for a lower end hotel (Circus Circus / Excalibur), £400 for a mid range hotel (Mirage / MGM Grand / Flamingo) or £650 for a high end hotel (Bellagio / Caesars Palace / Wynns).  Resort fees (if any) are payable locally and are not included in this figure.  WE RECOMMEND that you first look into a package deal with a tour operator as we just checked out Virgin Holidays (UK) and saw flight and hotel package at the Luxor hotel for £958.  However, if you would still like us to arrange your hotel we can do that after 4th July once we have negotiated some discounts!  We will put the options on the shop page as soon as we get the prices confirmed.

Can you organise flights?

Sadly, as we are not a travel company we cannot offer flights, but can suggest that you look at skyscanner.net to get an idea of the flight costs to Las Vegas.  We just had a quick search and found flights from the UK at £329.

Can I rent an instrument rather than drag my big instrument on a plane?

Yes (but may be limited quantity).  We are speaking with instrument manufacturers, suppliers and rental companies to see if we can rent the bigger instruments if you would rather not bring your own.  There may be a small additional charge for this - we will let you know this before you travel.

Percussion?

We will provide the big percussion equipment.  This will include a full drum kit, timps, xylophone, glockenspiel etc.  We would like you to bring your own sticks, mallets and small percussion stuff.  You are welcome to also bring your own snare drum if you wish. There will be a full set up at the full band venue and a seperate similar set up at the workshop / masterclass venue.

Any other recommendations?

  1. INSURANCE!  Please make sure that you and your instrument are insured.
  2. ESTA.  This is COMPULSORY for entry into the US.  It costs $14 and lasts for two years.  It can be obtained from the official US government website at http://esta.cbp.dhs.gov (Link opens in new tab) Please only use the official Government website to get your ESTA and do not use an expensive 3rd party site to get it.  It is a simple enough form for anyone to fill out.
  3. UNDER 21's.  We welcome players under 21, but please remember that if you are under 21 years old you must be accompanied by someone over 21 in order to get a hotel room, and under 21's are not allowed by law to drink or buy alcohol.
